Douglas W. Texter is a Ph.D. candidate in English at the University of Minnesota. A specialist in utopian/dystopian fiction, Texter's work has appeared in AlienSkin, Amityville House of Pancakes, the Swamp, The Urban Bizarre, The Encyclopedia of New York School Poets, The Companion to Twentieth Century American Poetry, and Foreword Magazine. A graduate of both the Radcliffe Publishing Course and the Clarion Science Fiction Writers' Workshop, Texter was a recent quarter finalist in the Writers of the Future Contest.  Texter is also an activist with Minnesota Public Interest Research Group.
